How we work
Most failed software projects fail on scoping and handover, not on code. This is the sequence we run to keep both of those honest — and what you get at the end of each stage.
- 01
Discovery and scoping
3–5 daysWe start by understanding the workflow, not the feature list. That means talking to the people who will use the system, auditing what already exists, and identifying the constraints that will actually shape the build — data volumes, compliance, integrations, and internal capacity.
What you get
- A written problem statement both sides agree on
- Constraint and risk register
- Rough order-of-magnitude estimate
- 02
Architecture and proposal
3–7 daysWe produce the technical design before quoting a price: data model, service boundaries, integration points, hosting topology, and the trade-offs behind each choice. You get a proposal with milestones and fixed scope, and you are free to take that design elsewhere.
What you get
- Architecture document with diagrams
- Milestone plan and fixed-scope pricing
- Technology choices with stated rationale
- 03
Delivery in two-week increments
OngoingWork ships in two-week increments to a staging environment you can use. Every increment ends with something demonstrable rather than a status report, so scope problems surface in week two rather than month four.
What you get
- Working software on staging every two weeks
- Pull-request review on every change
- Live backlog with visible priorities
- 04
Hardening and launch
1–2 weeksBefore go-live we run load testing, security review, backup and restore drills, and a rehearsed rollback plan. Monitoring and alerting are configured and verified against real failure conditions rather than assumed to work.
What you get
- Load and security test results
- Verified backup and restore procedure
- Alerting wired to a named on-call route
- 05
Handover and operations
ContinuousSource code, infrastructure configuration, and documentation transfer to your accounts and repositories. From there you either run it yourself with our documentation, or we hold a support retainer covering patching, monitoring, and incident response.
What you get
- Full source and infrastructure handover
- Runbooks and architecture documentation
- Optional retainer with agreed response times
What we commit to
Fixed scope, visible change control
The agreed scope is written down. Anything outside it gets priced and approved before work starts, so invoices never contain surprises.
You own everything
Repositories, cloud accounts, and domains are yours from day one. We work inside your infrastructure, not behind a wall you have to pay to get through.
Direct access to engineers
You talk to the people writing the code. There is no account manager relaying requirements between you and the team.
Documentation is a deliverable
Architecture notes and runbooks ship with the software. If we disappeared tomorrow, another team could pick it up.

The first conversation is free and produces something useful either way — a written problem statement you can act on, with or without us.
